The Fairleigh Dickinson University MFA Program and Serving House Books (SHB) will award prizes for excellence for first books in poetry and prose.
The contest judges will select a winning work work of poetry and of prose (novel, story collection, or work of creative nonfiction) to be published by Serving House Books (servinghousebooks.com) . Writers who have not yet published a full-length book are eligible to enter. Entries must be received by midnight April 1, 2011, and winners will be announced on June 1, 2011.
Please designate poetry collections as a poetry entry and fiction and nonfiction as a prose entry.
